Our Pastor

Rev. Michael C. Walker is a native of Albany, GA. The eldest of four siblings, Pastor Walker loves the Lord and enjoys the Word of God.

In 1994, Pastor Walker completed an active duty tour of four years with the U.S. Navy and continued service with"  the U.S Army Reserves for an additional three years. While serving in the armed forces, Pastor Walker traveled the world extensively, and can often be found saying "I've traveled half way around the world twice, and I'm still here".




In the private sector, Pastor Walker has been employed by the Civil Service of New York State, where he worked until August of 1997 when the Lord provided the opportunity for him and his family to move to the great state of Texas. At that time, Pastor Walker was employed by Texas Health Resources, where he currently serves as Director of Real Estate Operations.


Pastor Walker is an active member of the International Facility Managers Association, Dallas Building Owners and Managers Association, Texas Association of Healthcare Facility Managers, and the American Society of Healthcare Engineers.

 

Called to the ministry in 2003, under the pastoral leadership of Sr. Pastor Christopher J. Respass and Antioch Christian Fellowship, Pastor Walker preached his trial sermon on July 30, 2003, entitled, “If it’s not about Jesus, it’s not the Gospel” taken from Galatians 1:6-10. Going on to complete Ministers Training; Pastor Walker was licensed to preach the Gospel on April 17, 2005. Pastor Walker is committed to preaching and teaching the Word of God with energy and passion. While we live in a world that is subject to change, the Word of God does not change, and Pastor Walker is committed to remaining faithful to discovering the meaning of the Scriptures and applying the Scriptures to our lives. His passion to know the meaning of the Scriptures coupled with his desire to teach the Scriptures fuels him to expound on the Scriptures.


Pastor Walker has served as the Pastor of Youth and Children and has served as an Executive Council member at Antioch Christian Fellowship. After much prayer, Pastor Walker answered the call from God on March 28, 2009 to plant a church in Little Elm, Texas. Currently, Pastor Walker is working to complete a B.A. in Ministry and Leadership at Dallas Christian College and upon graduation, he will enter Seminary to continue his study and pursue the Master of Divinity Degree.


In August of 1992, Pastor Walker married his lovely wife Nakesha, and they have been blessed with two beautiful children.
